ISHIDA’s first public performance called Beginning/ αρχή, which is a fundraiser for ISHIDA, will include a pre-show culinary event featuring many of Austin’s top restaurants serving complimentary small bites.
The performance will include top dancers from Houston Ballet, LINES Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, USC Kaufman School of Dance, Texas Ballet Theatre and Ballet Austin featured in several short aesthetically pleasing pieces. Each piece originates from a narrative showcasing the beauty of human form and athleticism of the dancers in a context that relates to a modern society.
ISHIDA is a new world-class performing arts company for Austin featuring nationally venerated dancers in distinct narratives that address universal themes of our psyche—fear, belonging, loss and love.
